At 20:30 on the evening of January 29, 2025 (the first day of the Lunar New Year), Guilin City held a large-scale landscape fireworks show with the theme of "Fireworks to Welcome the New Year, Landscape Exhibition" on the Lijiang River opposite the Elephant Trunk Mountain Scenic Area (on the side of Zizhou Park). The event was undertaken by Guilin Tourism Co., Ltd., specially invited to be designed by the Hunan Liuyang Flying Tiger Fireworks Display Team, combined with the Li River, Elephant Trunk Mountain and other natural landscapes, and was divided into four chapters: "Peaceful Fire Tree and Silver Flower Celebrating the New Year", "Self-Confidence, Wuhua Tianbao Yao Long Sky", "Striving to Remember the Entrustment and Mission", and "Working Together to Celebrate the Ambition of Qingyun", presenting 68 theme pictures, each of which has a different shape and meaning. The fireworks shape is integrated into Guilin's landscape elements, such as the reflection of the Li River and the outline of the karst peaks, forming a multi-dimensional effect of "painting in the air, reflecting in the water, and winding in the mountains".

Every time the fireworks burst into the air, the winding Li River and the tranquil Elephant Trunk Mountain in the background present an exclusive and beautiful picture. The fireworks were set off for 20 minutes, and supporting activities such as the intangible cultural heritage bazaar and the New Year's greeting performance of the champion were also held at the same time to enhance the festive atmosphere.
