On August 7, 2025, the World Games—hosted for the first time on the Chinese mainland—officially kicked off in Chengdu. For this edition of the Games, the fireworks displays for the opening and closing ceremonies were fully designed and executed by the Liuyang Dongxin Fireworks Team. With "Flowers of Civilization" and "Connection" as its core themes, the team created a spectacular feast that blends cultural connotation with visual impact by deeply integrating dynamic fireworks shapes and an intelligent control system.
In the opening ceremony fireworks, the "Tree of Friendship" shape stood out as a key highlight: the team innovatively adopted millisecond-level ignition timing control technology to accurately simulate the tree’s growth process from sprouting to spreading. Additionally, the simultaneous firing of 300 bionic "dove" fireworks marked a global first in achieving biological dynamic effects in fireworks, vividly conveying the spirit of friendship and mutual assistance among athletes from around the world.
The Chengdu World Games lasted ten days and concluded successfully on August 17. The 60-second fireworks display at the closing ceremony further showcased technological breakthroughs: the team deployed the 6th-generation intelligent ignition system, and its ultra-high response speed of 0.0001 seconds ensured the conflict-free and precise firing of 80,000 fireworks throughout the entire process. The "Chengdu" sky screen text presented in the air featured each character with an area of nearly 200 square meters, freezing the event’s memories with a grand visual scale and bringing a perfect conclusion to this international sports gala.
